Every year, the Academy provides a multi-day Symposium hosted by one of the member institutions.  Outstanding speakers address issues of current interest, and researchers and students present papers and posters on a wide variety of scientific and technological topics.  Abstracts of papers and posters accepted for presentation are published in the on-line, open-source, peer-reviewed, abstracted, and referenced Journal of the Idaho Academy of Science and Engineering.  Field trips, exhibits, and spontaneous discussions at social functions are part of the broad spectrum of Symposium activities.
